March Babies

I have been seeing lots of "March babies" in the past week--one of them just starting on her journey in this world and the others celebrating their first birthdays.

Here is sweet, newborn Peyton. Despite how it appears in the pictures, she only slept a few minutes of the time she was here in the studio. We were definitely able to make the most of the sleeping time she gave us! But she was such a calm baby, even when awake. She was just taking it all in.

You may recognize Michael from the header at the top of the blog. Hasn't he grown in the past few months! I am a huge sucker for a baby with a lovey--it just gets me every time. (A session tip--If your small child has a lovey make sure to tuck it away the diaper bag and bring it to the session. At the end of the session when they are getting tired of me, I like to break out the lovey. They are usually happy to see it by that point and we gets some great memories captured.)

Grant turned a year old also. Several of Grants newborn photos grace my studio walls and it's hard to believe he is turning one! He has grown into an adorable boy just full of life and personality. He is also a big fan of cake and dug in with both hands just like a pro!

And finally there is my adorable niece Paige, who also turned one this month. Paige is spunky, determined, and so expressive! Her blue eyes are also a dream to photograph. It has been my joy to capture her whole first year from the moment she entered the world to her refusal to have anything to do with her first birthday cake. :)

The grass is turning green, the sun is staying up longer, and the weather is getting warmer. All of this means--outdoor sessions! If you are interested in a spring or summer session contact me to reserve your spot on the calendar. I'll be announcing the winner of the March contest soon and in April we'll start a new contest on the blog.

Triple the Fun

It is the third month of the year and my middle girl will be turning three this month! In celebration, I am having a contest on the blog this month that's all about "3." If you'd like to play along then just fill out the survey included in the email that notified you of the blog update (if you didn't get it or already deleted it just email me and I'll resend it to you). Email the survey back to me once you have it completed. By completing and emailing the survey you will be agreeing to let me post your answers on my blog if I choose to. I'll be featuring some of my clients answers on the blog along with an image from their most recent session. It's just for fun so we can all learn a little more about each other. Everyone who fills out the survey will be entered in a drawing to win 3 free 5x7s from their next session! To get us started I'll answer all the questions myself:

If you would be interested in beach portaits in the Wilmington or Topsail Beach area either during spring break or during Labor Day weekend, please email me.
